Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ScreenMind ("the app," "we," "us") handles information. It applies to the ScreenMind iOS application. Please read it alongside our Terms of Use.

1. Data we collect

None. ScreenMind does not collect personal data. Specifically:

• We do not require or offer an account, sign-up, or login.
• We do not operate servers that receive your data. There is nothing to upload to.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or attribution SDKs.
• We do not use crash-reporting services that transmit data off your device.
• We do not access your contacts, location, microphone, or other personal data stores.

Our App Store privacy label reflects this: Data Not Collected.

2. How the app uses your screenshots

To do its job, ScreenMind reads the screenshots on your device. This processing happens entirely on your iPhone:

• Photo access. With your permission, the app reads screenshots from your photo library so it can recognize and index their text. You grant this through the standard iOS permission prompt, and you can change it any time in Settings.
• Text recognition. Recognition uses Apple's on-device Vision framework. Image content is never sent to us or to any third party.
• Local storage. Recognized text, detected details, and your organization are stored only in the app's private storage on your device.

Because all of this is local, the app works fully in Airplane Mode.

3. Permissions we request

• Photos. Required to read and index your screenshots. You may grant full or limited access; the app works with whatever you allow.

If you deny photo access, ScreenMind cannot index screenshots, but the app will not transmit anything as a result — there is simply nothing for it to read.

4. Third-party services and SDKs

ScreenMind does not bundle third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. It relies only on Apple's own on-device frameworks (such as Photos and Vision), which do not transmit your content to us.

5. Subscriptions and payments

If ScreenMind offers a paid purchase or subscription, billing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. Any purchase information we can see is limited to what Apple provides for managing entitlements, and it is not linked to an identity by us.

6. Children's privacy

ScreenMind is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children.

7. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA and similar laws)

Privacy laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) give you rights over your personal data, including access, correction, deletion, portability, and the right not to be sold or "shared" for cross-context advertising.

ScreenMind holds no personal data about you on any server, so there is nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf, and nothing to sell — we do not sell or share personal information. The data the app creates lives only on your device and is fully under your control:

• Access and portability. You can view recognized text in the app and export it at any time.
• Deletion. Delete individual screenshots' data within the app, or remove all app data by deleting the app from your iPhone. Uninstalling erases the app's local storage.

8. Data retention

App data is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We retain nothing, because we receive nothing.

9. Security

Your data benefits from iOS's built-in protections, including app sandboxing and device encryption. Keeping processing on-device also removes the largest category of risk entirely: data in transit and data held on servers.

10. Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices ever change — for example, if an optional feature were added that involves a network service — we will update this policy and, where appropriate, request your consent. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
